Raul Gudiño will continue playing for FC Porto. The 19-year-old was on loan at Porto from Chivas Guadalajara during last season and impressed during his year at the club.
Porto made his purchasing option valid at the request of reserve manager Luis Castro and Julen Lopetegui.
Gudiño arrived to the club as a substitute for the club’s B team that competed in the UEFA Youth League, but after impressing in the knockout stage of the competition, Gudiño firmly earned his place in the starting lineup of the team.
Mexico national team manager, Miguel Herrera, has also been full of praise for the young goalkeeper in the past: ” Raul Gudiño has a bright future and possibly after these summer’s tournaments, he will be taken into consideration for the senior team.”
The deal is reportedly for 3.5 million dollars for the next three years.
