The Mexico Under-22 national team defeated China 2-0 in the Toulon Touranement on Monday afternoon.
Chivas attacker Carlos Cisneros scored twice in the second-half for Mexico to guide the young El Tri side to a victory over a resilient Chinese side.
It was China who looked like the most threatening side in the first-half, but at the restart, it took Mexico just a minute to get on the scoreline.
Carlos Cisneros gathered a rebound inside the box and hammered home from close range to put Mexico ahead.
After the goal, Raul Gutierrez’s side looked like the most committed and doubled the lead on 59 minutes.
Cisneros again received the ball inside the box and fired past the Chinese goalkeeper to seal the victory in El Tri’s favor.
Mexico now have four points in three matches and will play their next group stage game against England on Wednesday.
