Tigres drew 1-1 against Club Universitario in the second-leg of their Copa Libertadores last-16 clash to win 3-2 on aggregate and book their place in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Ruben Cuesta put Universitario in front after only a minute, but the Bolivian side struggled to create any real chances before Rafael Sobis made Tigres’ advantage safe from the penalty spot.

Ricardo Ferretti’s men reach their first Copa Libertadores quarterfinals since 2005, and will also be a participant in the Liga MX Liguilla that starts next week.
