Monterrey failed to reach the Liguilla by drawing 2-2 with Pumas UNAM on Saturday in their last ever game at the Estadio Tecnologico.
The game marked the final 90 minuets in the stadium’s 65 year history with Rayados ahead of the opening of their new stadium in August.
Monterrey came into the game needing a victory to have any hope of reaching the Liguilla.
But despite a late equalizer from Jesus Eduardo Zavala, the hosts failed in their push for a late winner.
The result leaves Antonio Mohamed’s men at the bottom half of the table with 24 points in 17 games, while Pumas UNAM finish the season with 22 points.
