Chiapas came from a goal down to finish 2-2 with Pachuca at the Estadio Victor Manuel Reyna on Saturday night.
Chiapas forward Silvio Romero fired the opener at the half-hour mark before German Cano struck the equalizer early in the second-half.
Hirving Lozano looked to have won it late in the game, but former Pachuca player, Aviles Hurtado, thumped away a last-minute penalty to give the hosts a point.
The draw means both teams remain outside of a Liguilla position with five matches to go.
