Neymar and Lionel Messi scored as Barcelona extended their run at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over local rivals Espanyol. Hector Moreno was sent off in the final seconds of the game.

Luis Enrique’s side took the lead after only 16 minutes through Neymar when the Brazilian fired a shot past Casilla, following a nice play that started from Lionel Messi’s feet.

It was Messi who doubled the lead nine minutes later with a superb finish to his near post. It was his 50th goal of the season.

Mexican international, Hector Moreno, played nearly the entirety of the match before being sent off in injury-time for complaining.

Elsewehere, Raul Jimenez played the last 11 minutes of Atletico Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Elche. Antoine Griezmann scored twice on that one as Atletico remain in a Champions League position.
