PSV Eindhoven clinched their first Dutch Eredivisie title in seven years as they defeated SC Heerenveen 4-1 at the Philips Stadion on Saturday. Andres Guardado played all 90 minutes.
With four matches to go in the season, PSV came into this game needing only a win to assure themselves the Eredivisie Schaal.
Luuk de Jong gave the hosts a flying start after only three minuets, and Memphis Depay, who is rumored to be on his way to Manchester United at the end of the season, doubled PSV’s lead through a brilliant free-kick
Van der Berg got one back for the visitors, but just before the break, De Jong scored his second of the night to put things at 3-1.
In the second-half, Luciano Narsingh sealed the win to earn PSV their 22nd league-title in their history.
Andres Guardado joins Carlos Salcido and Hector Moreno as Mexican internationals that have won the Dutch Eredivisie in their professional career.
