Tigres took full control of group 6 in the Copa Libertadores with a comfortable 4-0 win over San Jose at the Estadio Universitario on Tuesday night.

Goals from Joffre Guerron, Rafael Sobis, and Egidio Arevalo sent Ricardo Ferretti’s side on their way to first-place of their group after four matches.

Joffre Guerron started the scoring with a clever back-heel before Rafael Sobis scored his first of the night from distance.

In the second-half, Egidio Arevalo burst down the edge of the box unmarked and nestled the ball into the net for Tigres’ third.

Rafael Sobis made it 4-0 with five minutes remaining to seal the routine win.

With the result, Tigres remain without a defeat in the competition and are virtually guaranteed a place in the round of 16.

Tigres’ next match is against River Plate on April 8.
