Raul “Potro” Gutierrez saw his U-22 Mexico side snatch a 0-0 draw against Brazil in a friendly at the Estadio Castelão on Sunday.

The Brazilians, who came into the game following a 4-1 victory over Paraguay, had the bulk of possession with Benfica’s Anderson Talisca being their most dangerous man.

Mexico, however, were well-disciplined in the defense as the young El Tri team obtained a deserved result in Northeastern Brazil.

It was Mexico’s first game in their preparation for the 2016 Olympic qualification process, and their next game will be against the US U-23 team on April 22 in Carson, California.
