Mexico announces 12 European-based players for March friendlies

The Mexican Football Federation has named 12 European-based players for El Tri’s forthcoming friendlies against Ecuador on March 28 and Paraguay on March 31.

Among the highlights, Miguel Herrera has called upon Hector Moreno, who makes his return to the national team after a brief absence through injury.

Rafael Marquez also makes a comeback following his impressive performances in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Among the notable absentees, however, are the injured Carlos Vela and Javier Aquino from Rayo Vallecano.

Update: Mexico national team manager, Miguel Herrera, confirmed on Tuesday that Rafael Márquez will not be making the trip due to injury.
