Luis “Chapo” Montes scored his first goal since the injury that left him out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup as Leon earned a 2-2 draw with Cruz Azul at the Nou Camp on Saturday.

Montes had not scored in the Liga MX since May 8th, 2014, in a semifinal game against Toluca.

Cruz Azul took the early lead when Alemão scored on just 13 minutes.

Moments later, Gerardo Flores picked up a rebound from a Roque Santa Cruz missed penalty to double the visitors’ lead.

Martin Bravo got one back for the hosts before Luis Montes equalized in the second-half through a superb left-footed strike.

With the draw, Cruz Azul remain winless in their last four games. Leon, on the other hand, have not seen victory in their last three.
