FC Porto cruised to the quarterfinals of the Champions League as they defeated FC Basel 4-0 at the Estadio do Dragaõ on Tuesday. Mexican international Hector Herrera scored the second goal for the hosts in the 47th minute.

Following a 1-1 draw in Switzerland, a victory of any margin would put the Dragões through, and in the 14th minute, Yacine Brahimi got the scoring started for the Portuguese side with a brilliant free-kick.

Two minutes into the second-half, Hector Herrera doubled the hosts’ lead with a curling shot from distance. It was Herrera’s third Champions League goal this season.

Later in the half, Casemiro and Vincent Aboubakar made it 4-0 to complete the rout and send Porto through to the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the first time in six years.
