Raul Gudiño saves two penalties, eliminates Real Madrid from UEFA Youth League

FC Porto goalkeeper, Raul Gudiño, saved two penalties as FC Porto’s U-19 team secured their passage to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League against Real Madrid.

The first 90 minutes ended in a 1-1 stalemate, and in the penalty shootout, Gudiño played hero, saving two of Real Madrid’s four penalties.

Gudiño has been on loan from Chivas after impressing in the U-17 World Cup of 2013 and has been an active member of FC Porto’s B team throughout the season. It is expected FC Porto will pay the €2.5 million buyout clause to make his move with the club permanent.

FC Porto’s next opponent in the UEFA Youth League will be the winner of the round of 16 tie between Anderlecht and Barcelona.
