Xolos de Tijuana completed a superb comeback from two goals down to defeat 10-man Pachuca 3-2 at the Estadio Caliente on Saturday night.
Diego de Buen put the Tuzos ahead after 12 minutes and Rodolfo Pizarro doubled their advantage in the 36th minute.
But Juan Arango scored two second-half goals to get the hosts on level terms before Dayro Moreno sealed a dramatic win in injury time.
With the result, Xolos remain at the very top of the Liga MX table.
The visitor’s first goal arrived in the 12th minute when an unmarked Diego de Buen pounced from close-range from an Heriberto Olvera corner.
In the 18th minute, Oscar Perez had to be alert after keeping out a deflected shot from Dayro Moreno.
But things got a lot worse for the hosts when Rodolfo Pizarro scored on a rebound after Ariel Nahuelpan’s shot was fended off by Cirilo Saucedo.
Jürgen Damm frustrated Tijuana for the entirety of the first-half, and two minutes later, Damm sent a dangerous cross for Nahuelpan, who forced a great save from Saucedo.
In the 51st minute, Tijuana should have scored when Dayro Moreno fired his attempt over the crossbar in front of an empty net.
It took a brilliant Juan Arango free-kick to get Tijuana a goal back five minutes later.
Xolos kept pushing forward, and after Aquivaldo Mosquera saw red for a second yellow, Xolos got things leveled.
Juan Arango led an attack from outside the box, combining with Alfredo Moreno for a one-two, before drilling his shot past Perez and equalizing.
In injury time, Dayro Moreno latched on to an Alfredo Moreno through-ball to poke a right-footed shot above the goalkeeper and earn Tijuana an amazing comeback win.
