Chivas forward, Carlos Fierro, has received a one match ban from the FMF for simulating a foul in a game against Pachuca on the weekend.
Fierro fell inside the penalty area pretending to have received a foul from Aquivaldo Mosequeda. The referee call it a penalty, which Giovani Hernandez scored to give Chivas the win.
But not everybody is happy with the actions of the FMF. When Chivas Club president, Nestor de la Torre, was asked about the situation on Tuesday, he went as far as to suggest that the FMF is caving into the pressure of media.
“It bothers that they(FMF) do it as a response and not as conviction or to comply with regulations,” de la Torre argued.
Fierro will miss Chivas’ game against Santos on Friday.
