Mexico, the African U-20 Championship runners-up, Uruguay, and Serbia were drawn together in Group D for this year’s U-20 FIFA World Cup.
The draw was held in the New Zealand city of Auckland, one of seven host cities that will take part in this year’s tournament.
Group D games will be played in Dunedin with El Tri opening against the African U-20 Championship runners-up on May 30. Next, they will play Uruguay on June 2 and Serbia on June 5.
This U-20 World Cup edition will feature traditional favorites such as Argentina, Brazil, and Germany alongside debutants Fiji and Myanmar.
