Mexico settled for a 1-1 draw with Haiti as they fielded a reserve-side in their final match of the U-20 CONCACAF Championship group stage. The young El Tri side cruised towards a World Cup spot and will now face Panama in the title game.

Mauro Lainez put Mexico ahead in the 28th minute from a shot that went deflected into the back of the net.

However, Haiti pulled a goal back in the 53rd minute. Nerlin Saint-Vil struck a left-footed rocket from long range to even the score.

Mexico had several late opportunities and might even have netted a winner in injury-time, but El Tri were lacking their usual finishing touch.

Mexico’s next match will be the title game against Panama. Los Canaleros won all their group stage games and have not received a single goal in this tournament. You’ll be able to watch watch that game this Saturday on Fox Sports 2 at 8pm EST.
