Jesus ‘Tecatito’ Corona has signed a contract extension with FC Twente, binding him with the club until 2018. His previous contract ran until 2017, but Corona has enjoyed a good start with Twente this season, netting 3 goals and bagging 3 assists in 11 appearances.
It wasn’t all uphill for Corona, however. In the beginning of the season, he was accused of being overweight and was downgraded from the team. He turned his weight problems around and even earned his first call-up for the Mexico National team. Corona’s performance have even garnished an alleged interest from Southampton in the English Premier League.
Corona and FC Twente are set to play Guardado and PSV this Sunday.
