Santos Laguna confirmed today that their captain, Oswaldo Sanchez, is set to leave the club in the January transfer window.
In a spell of tweets, the northern Mexican club tweeted that the goalkeeper is not in the future plans of the team. Sanchez, now 41, was a fundamental part of Santos Laguna in the past 7 years, winning 2 league titles and a Copa MX.
The club stated that Sanchez has several bids from other Mexican clubs, while championing him as a historic individual within the club.
Santos also confirmed their first incorporation for the 2015 Clausura season. Edson Rivera arrives from Atlas. The striker came to relevance following a U-20 World Cup for Mexico, and experienced a short stint with Sporting de Braga in Portugal.
