Miguel Herrera has reportedly put signature to a contract that ties him with the Mexican National team until the conclusion of the Russia 2018 process. The contract officially binds Herrera with “El Tri” for the next 4 years, after taking helm of the team shortly before the World Cup.
Miguel Herrera has enjoyed a good stint with Mexico, but his continuity will most likely be contingent on his performances in the 2015 Gold Cup and Copa America.
He made it clear, however, the Mexican Federation hasn’t placed any requirements for him to win any of these tournaments. “There weren’t any requirements. I’ve placed them on myself because I know the responsibility I have,” said Herrera.
Mexico will take part in the 2015 Copa America where they were drawn against Chile, Ecuador, and Bolivia, before playing in the 2015 Gold Cup.
