The Liga MX Disciplinary Committee has decided to hand Queretaro forward William Da Silva a 5 game ban for a punch to an opponent’s face.

In the last week of regular-season play in the Liga MX, William Da Silva committed a rash tackle to a Jaguares player that earned him a straight red and a 2-game suspension. After the incident, Da Silva went ahead and threw a punch at another Jaguares player, earning him an additional 3 games of suspension.

Despite Queretaro’s big money move for Ronaldinho, Queretaro fell short of making the playoffs. It is unknown if William Da Silva is even in the future plans of the Queretaro organization.
