Blanco turns back the clock with a brace against Santos

Cuauhtemoc Blanco left Santos’s liguilla chances in a limbo with an injury time penalty and a goal from a free-kick.

It was a dramatic finish and a classic Liga MX game that ended 3-3. Santos needed a win to ensure that they would be in the top 8 of Mexican soccer, but 42 year old Blanco entered the game from the bench and played spoiler.

Santos now need a combination of results to maintain their status in the top 8. Puebla, on the other hand, get a valuable point in their hunt to fight relegation.
